What Brought Me to CVCC

Deciding to attend CVCC following graduating high school was not a decision I made out of haste, but a well-researched and thought out one. There were many different facets of CVCC I found appealing, but the most important were its location, size, and the scholarships I was offered. By going to CVCC, I am able to live at home and avoid paying any dorm or apartment costs, while keeping my current job and being able to use that money towards books and other expenses. CVCC is a familiar place, as my sister attended the school and I have also been able to tour and visit the school. During these visits, I have been able to see a school with a student to teacher ratio that allows students to have a more personal connection with their teacher, versus just being a face in the crowd. The most important thing in determining where I went to school, however, was the scholarships and financial aid I was offered. CVCC was able to offer me a scholarship covering full tuition, putting the final nail in the coffin of my decision.
